My name is David Chien, and nakedgremlin.com is a reservoir for my creative ventures.

The site features two elements:

• the projects, which features client work and larger bodies of personal creations. Project contents range from interface design to icon work to magazine covers.


• the sketchbook, which features snippets from my personal trove of sketches, experiments, and fancies. It’s like peering into my underwear drawer where instead of underwear you see drawings and instead of feeling embarrassed you feel kinda warm and fuzzy.

Along with nakedgremlin.com, I am also proprietor of Rationale… and The Story of [fill in the blank]; the former being a five year old editorial cartoon, the later being a site featuring comics created from user suggestions (also a finalist in the 2002 SXSW Web Awards under the category of Animation/Cartoon).

Recently I created an art installation at the Rice Art Gallery affectionately titled gustywindsmayexist. You can re-live the experience at the official exhibition site. If photography floats your boat, I regularly post photo essays and photos at PHOTOS.NAKEDGREMLIN.COM.
